Oulanka National Park – North – Finland

Continuing my road trip in Finland, to reach the North part of Oulanka National Park, I was able to enjoy the Autumn colors and Wildlife there.
Located right under the arctic circle and covering 270km2, Oulanka Nstional Park was established in 1956 and expanded in 1982 and 1989.
It offers numerous incredible trails, including the famous Finnish trekking route, Karhunkierros (82 km).
Hikers will enjoy a variety of landscapes, switching from meadows to rivers, dense forests to clear areas, and peatlands / bogs.
Photos below were taken on the Karhunkierros.

Nature in Finland is amazing, and the Autumn colors are very intense, even with an overcast and rainy weather.
I haven’t been to the northernmost part of Oulanka National Park, but I had to split my exploration over few days.
This article covers my hike mainly along the Aventojoki River, which allowed me to discover a little more the Finnish boreal forest and have a wee glimpse of its Wildlife.

I hope you liked my photos of the North part of Oulanka National Park in Finland, and enjoyed to see the autumn colors and a bit of Wildlife there.
Second stop of my road trip in Finland, more articles are coming!
Maybe the photos will motivate you to visit this impressive country and discover what it has to offer.
