Here are some photos from Kananaskis Country and Banff, in Alberta, where I went to hike for two days, hoping to encounter and photograph grizzly bears. Seven bears were spotted the first day I was there, but I saw none. Coyotes, moose, deers and many birds (grey jay, goshawk, willow ptarmigan…) were all around the area. I hiked some distance across the grizzly area but I missed two by few minutes (fresh foot prints and poo). Roaming in the Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, I enjoyed to be surrounded by the wilderness and discover new places (wide meadows, thick forests etc.)
Night photography is taken at Minnewanka lake, near Banff town, in Banff National Park. I was hoping to take photos of a starry sky above the lake, but it went too cloudy. Trees and snow in the Rockies to continue my trip in the Canadian Rocky Mountains and Alberta, and put to the test my camouflage clothes in this wild nature.

Driving and hiking across the park was really motivating and seeing its beauty was impressive. But you must keep an eye on the road as there is some animals crossing (moose and deers mainly this time).. I took a trail to enjoy the view of the Upper and Lower Kananaskis Lakes, walking in the snow for quite some time, before to reach the end. I hiked with two camera bodies, my Canon EOS 400D with a Sigma 10-20mm lens, and my Canon EOS 7D with a Sigma 50-500mm lens. Wide angle for landscapes, and super zoom lens for wildlife and closer mountain shots. Changing for other lenses from time to time.
I hope that you will like the pictures of Banff National Park and the Kananaskis Country in Alberta.
Take care and take photos.
